Since the turn of the century, he has been an official, archivist in Komárom, secretary general of the SZMKE, and president of the Jókai Association. He carried out extensive, conservative-minded scientific and public activity. As a provincial representative of the Christian Socialist Party, he attacked the sickle-wingers who were oriented towards Marxism. In his valuable, still cited scientific works, he processed the results of his local archival research.
