* Guszona, 25 Feb. 1951. / literary critic, literary historian, associate professor ; ; Graduated from Füleken (1969), obtained a Hungarian-Slovak teaching certificate at the ELTE Faculty of Literature in Budapest (1974). He defended his candidate's thesis at the Faculty of Literature of the Comenius University (1984). – After completing his studies (between 1974 and 1997), he was a lecturer at the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature at the Pedagogical College in Nitra – assistant professor, assistant professor, associate professor, head of department in 1979–82, deputy dean between 1982–1985, president of the Academic Council (1981–82). Since 1997, he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Philology of the Bél Mátyás University of Besztercebánya, where he established the Department of Hungarian Studies and the philological major of Hungarian Language and Culture. He has been the head of the department since its establishment (1998), deputy dean between 2001 and 2004, and dean of the faculty since 2004. – As a literary critic and scientific researcher, he has mainly dealt with contemporary Slovak Hungarian poetry, with special attention to the generation of the “eight”. He has written a comprehensive study on the work of Árpád Tőzsér and László Cselényi. His main literary activity is in the field of comparative literature and literary analysis. He has been publishing since 1973. His book reviews are published regularly (Új Szó, ISZ, Hét). Among his works, the studies Comparative Philosophy and Genealogy (ISZ 1974/9) and Critical Thinking and Value System (ibid. 1984/4) deserve attention. He is a matter-of-fact, broad-minded, theoretically prepared critic.
