Peter Aich

* Bratislava, 30 Sept. 1942 / poet, prose writer, editor, teacher ; ; After finishing the Hungarian primary school in Zoch Street, Poznań (1956), he graduated from the Eleven-Year Secondary School in Bratislava-Ligetfalu (1959). He then worked as an assistant and assistant teacher. He earned a diploma from the Faculty of Pedagogy of the Comenius University in Nagyszombat (1966). After completing his studies, he taught at the Bratislava-Ligetfalu primary school, and from 1972 he worked as an editor for various Slovak newspapers (Národné výbory, Rodina a škola, Priate¾). The latter was published for schools where the language of instruction was Hungarian in order to facilitate Slovak language teaching. Since 1994, he has been the editor of the weekly Eurotelevízia. Later, he taught at the Bratislava-Ligetfalu Private Gymnasium, then in the elementary schools of the Rózság district. ; – In the nineties, he edited a methodological guide (1993) (for Slovak language teaching in Hungarian schools), and his workbooks were published, with a similar purpose (Hugo a jeho prieté – Hugo and his friends, 1995, Hugo ide do sveta – Hugo goes to the world, 2004). ; – Founding and board member of the Bratislava Casino, editor of its yearbook since 2001. ; – His poems were published in Új Ifjúság and Irodalmi Szemle from 1966. He debuted in the anthology Egyszemű éjsza (1970). His book reviews were mostly published in Irodalmi Szemle. He did not publish a collection of poems, his first independent volume was X. Kálmán's vizistagságai (1998) was the prose writer's debut.
