* Bratislava, August 5, 1849 – † Vienna, November 27, 1909 / physician, medical historian; ; He was of Jewish origin, and completed high school in his hometown. He graduated from the medical faculty of the University of Vienna in 1872. He worked as a district physician in the imperial capital, and in addition to his work, he wrote articles for the Neue Preie Presse, and from 1889 he edited the professional journals Wiener Medizinische Wochenschrift, from 1894 the Monatsschrift für Gesundheilsplege, as well as the publications Tagblatt des hygienische Congresses, Taschenbuch für Zivilärzte and Medizinalschematismus. He also published studies on the history of medicine.
