Aba Mountain Juice

Since 2008, the harvest parade has been organized every year among the vineyard owners (landowners) of the three settlements of Imely, Martos and Ógyalla. Every third year, the Bellő – Konkoly-Thege Polgári Társulás is the main organizer of the harvest festival. As part of the event, folk art groups from the settlements of Imely, Martos and Ógyalla arrive on Aba-hegy in decorated horse-drawn carriages, where the farmers welcome them and the guests who want to have fun with a generous feast. The Bellő band contributes greatly to the good atmosphere, which makes the event more colorful and enjoyable. The judge with a long mustache and drumming begins his humorous speech, in which he announces the beginning of the harvest, and later the end of the harvest at the festival. The program continues with singing, revelry and playful entertainment. After that, the horse-drawn carriages move to a different location every year (Ógyalla, Martos, Imely), where a high-quality festival takes place, which ends with a harvest festival. The wonderfully decorated harvest wreath is symbolically handed over to the judge. In addition to the "domestic" performers, performers and bands are also invited from other villages. An open-air festival was also held in the area called Aba-Gónok (2014). Among the supporters, in addition to the municipalities of the settlements, we find the Minority Department of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic and Nitra County. ; ; 2011.
