Other - other

Vága, in the first half of the 1940s; The official name of the school in the village of Mátyusföld at the end of the first half of the 20th century was: Roman Catholic Folk School. After World War II, the school was nationalized, which also meant that it was ideologized. The school's current seal is bilingual: ZÁKLADNÁ ŠKOLA s výc. jaz. maďarkym VÁHOVCE and Hungarian Tanyelvű Alapiskola VÁGA.; The first teacher in Vága, of whom we know, was András Szenczy, who died in 1723. Historical sources mention János Máttyásovszky from 1756, who, in addition to writing and reading, also taught religious education. In addition to his teaching duties, he also served as a bell ringer and cantor in the village, and at the same time he even performed the duties of a notary. He already had a service apartment, in one of the rooms of which teaching took place.
