As a result of the First Vienna Decision, the Hungarian-populated parts of Slovakia were annexed to Hungary. The military handover took place on November 10, 1938. The Hungarian troops arrived from Tallós. The residents decorated their houses with flags, the fire department also awaited the soldiers in their uniforms. The village leadership also appeared next to them. The residents welcomed the Hungarians with flowers in a ecstasy of joy.
