The memory of the people of Kamocsa who were deported to Hungary
Other - other
This little booklet was created to commemorate the 63 families, 195 people born in our village, who were deported from Kamocsa to Hungary, mainly to the villages of Baranya and Somogy counties, in accordance with the so-called population exchange agreement, between 1947-48. In memory of those who were born in this small village in Vágment, Mátyusföld, but human cruelty forcibly uprooted them from the embrace of their native village and relatives. ; Whose only crime was that they were born Hungarian and they never denied it. Nearly three generations, 70 years have passed since then. Most of the victims of the deportation have now passed away on the path of all the living and are waiting for their Christ and their resurrection in the quiet peace of Hungarian cemeteries, resting under foreign graves. Many of them did not even get to see their native village of Kamocsa once again, to stand at the graves of their parents, their spouses, their beloved children who would represent the future, or to rest next to their ancestors in the cemetery of their native village. ; ; "They stole my father's grave, I must not go there, ; I must not water the graves with my tears. ; My sin is that I am Hungarian, created by the good God, ; in the cemetery of my home, so I have nothing to do. ; Rest, rest, my father, under the grave of my home, ; your persecuted son will return perhaps once more. ; There will be another reunion, perhaps not for long, ; I will bring a rose to my father's grave." ; (unknown author) ; ; Dedicated with sincere love to the late descendants.
