The English Park in Lukanénye
Other - other
All three castles built in the village from the 15th to the 18th century (Luka, Braskovich and Fekete) were surrounded by English parks. The trees and shrubs of the so-called Baron's Garden, which surrounded the Braskovich and Luka castles, and the ingenuity of their design, were comparable in value to the arboretums in Bojnice and Mlyňany even in the 1940s. Unfortunately, those infected with the ideology of the 1950s destroyed this too. The teacher Turcsányi, who was active here at the time and tried to save something from it, was expelled from the village. ; Today, the smaller parks located between the Braskovich and Luka castles preserve the memory of the former imposing English parks.
