And rightly so, because many Hungarian movements of national importance have already started from the city stretching out at the foot of the old castle. On 1 September 1935, based on the idea and under the leadership of Tódor Schubert, the nationally renowned cultural leader, the first Hungarian Gyöngyösbokréta in Czechoslovakia was also organized here with national success.
