On this day, a harvest parade was also held, during which girls carrying corn wreaths went around the village in a horse-drawn carriage. After baking bread, a blessing of bread followed. Then they ate and drank, and the harvest festival usually ended with dancing. ; In the Carpathian Basin, the first bread made from new wheat was baked on St. Stephen's Day.
