On October 3rd and 4th, 2008, we gathered for the sixth time to pay tribute to the memory of Ármin Vámbéry and to place our modest intellectual gifts on the table of science. The conference and the book launch that preceded it also brought changes. We held our last book launch in the old Vámbéry Literary Café. We also said goodbye to the venue of our previous conferences, and instead of the council room of the former district office, we held our meeting in the Town Hall.
