The house of the Józsa family

Vága, 1940s; This family house is located on the row of houses between the Heroes' Monument and the Holy Trinity Statue. Since then, the appearance and surroundings of the house have changed a lot. The Józsa family used to live in it, with house number 59, today it is registered under house number 670. In the good old days, the Hungarian coat of arms and the monogram of the head of the family, Ji (István Józsa), were on the gable of the house, as well as the year the house was built: 1882. The walls of the family house were built of burnt Vága bricks, and the builder's monogram (JI) was also visible on the bricks. ; Because of their large garden, the Józsás had 7 neighbors.
