The weekly football team

On the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Hetény sports club, we present the Hetény football team together with the local government and the sports management. ; We were helped in our data collection by old and young players, former Tarczys students, and sports fans. ; The first football match was in 1927, which was attended by the whole village. The two goalposts were erected in the village's goose pasture, today's Sport Street, and the pitch was marked out there. The people of Hetény saw a football and a jersey, as well as the equipment that came with it, for the first time in this windy weather. The match was already in full swing when the mother of one of the players arrived. She looked around and then called her son to her. The boy hurried to her obediently. - Come home immediately, what do you think, the Singer boy in a big coat, and my son naked? Since then, the saying has remained in Hetény: The Singer boy is wearing a big coat, and my son is naked? ; Mr. Ödön Singer, who appears in the aforementioned story, was the main supporter and the first coach of the newly formed team. We asked Uncle Lajos Vörös about the first soccer ball. He said that the priest paid for it, and the leather bottom was sewn together with a binding similar to a shoelace. This was not really practical, because when heading, the player could get injured and scrape his forehead. Sometimes the ball would puncture, in which case the shoemaker would quickly fix the problem, but until then, the game had to wait. Zoltán Lucza's father even had his eye knocked out by the binding sticking out of the ball, few people know that he played soccer with glass eyes. ; The formation of the Hetény soccer team can be traced back to the 1930s – Uncle Jenő Klucsar recalls, browsing through old photographs. The founding members - Benő Szabó, Zoltán Németh, Pinke barber …, Sándor Csik - goalkeeper, János Klucár, Géza Farkas, Tibor Papp. They also had their own fans: Benő Bertók, László Csintalan, Dezső Pintér, István Gál, Gyula Markacz, István Zajos, Lajos Szabó, Ferenc Fónad, Vlado Krojer, Dezső Szabó - these are the ones you can see in the photo, as well as Gyula Kiss, Gábor Ollé, Kálmán Szabó, Ödön Singer, and Uncle Dezső Rancsó, who was there for every match even at the age of 80-85. ; The players played their hearts out in green and white striped jerseys. After the match, everyone took them home and, if possible, washed them with their mothers. The jerseys also have an interesting story: The 1962 Czechoslovakian football team came in second place at the World Cup, which was held in Chile. Czechoslovakia lost 3:1. The silver boys' jersey was donated to the Komárom district. Due to the flood damage, the Hetény football team received it as a recognition of the good results. Unfortunately, the jerseys arrived at the Hetény team moldy, and they couldn't fix them even after a lot of work, so they didn't wear them. However, the gesture was very honorable. ; Young people who loved sports sometimes got to the scene of the matches by horse-drawn carriage, sometimes by tractor, sometimes by bicycle. For example, the wealthier young people got to St. Peter's on bicycles, got off halfway, and handed the vehicle over to the runner next to them. It once happened that the football players traveling on the "sleigh" of the tractor-trailer were thrown with eggs by the people of Moč, because they were jealous of their success. ; It was interesting to hear what condition the initial football fields were in. The location and size of the football field changed according to the weather conditions. So sometimes strange things happened, for example, when our football players were playing in Helenba near the Hungarian border, thanks to a well-successful kick, the ball went over the other side, which was kicked back by the good-natured border guards. ; In the most memorable season, it is no longer known when it was, but it is certain that the goal difference was 112:12 in favor of Hetény. One of the greatest honors came to the team in 1956. In Komárom, either on May 1 or 9, at the opening of the Komárom football field - Leninové sady -, they played a friendly match with Hetény-Marcelháza. During the socialist era, the teams were selected in this way. ; From the recollections, it turned out that we played football several times with the Hungarian teams of Makád, Lakitelek and Naszály. These teams were guests of ours for a long time afterwards. Before the 1966 Kisbér match, our football players were greeted with bouquets of flowers. ; The boys who achieved the most and greatest success earned the name of the Hetény golden team. Its members: Coach - Károly Mészáros, who was previously the right winger of the Komárom team. Mihály Knihár - goalkeeper, Miklós Hencz - left back, Ernő Pintér - right back, Lajos Szabó - left back, Gyula Hencz - right back, Jenő Klucar - center half, Lajos Tóth - right winger, Öcsi Vörös - left winger, and Dezső Szuh, Gyula Németh, Dezső Rancsó - right midfielder. Of course, Hetény had more golden teams in later years besides this team, but we have only presented the first one now. Since then, they have become champions 5 more times. ; To strengthen the team spirit, they often went on trips together. We managed to get some pictures of the trip to the Tatra Mountains, which is still mentioned today because of its good atmosphere. However, they did not tell us any details, only a mysterious smile was the answer. ; Gyula Németh was among the footballers who had the greatest career. The talented Hetény footballer played football for 2 years in Bajcs in the 1959s, then from 1960 to 1963 he was a footballer for Spartak in Komárom, from 1964 he worked as a coach in his native village of Hetény, and to this day he is an enthusiastic fan of the team. Our younger successful footballers: Edmund Zajos, Zoltán Lucza Jr., Imre Csintalan Sr., Tivadar Csintalan, András Major, Mihály Mohos. ; The old great footballers even got a starter to encourage the young ones. The lyrics were composed by Zoltán Lucza Sr. to the tune of an old Hetény song, which was sung by some old football players in the cellars of Hetény on a simple cassette recorder, which has now been digitized and uploaded to the Hetény football team's website. ; Tihamér Pákozdi, Ádám Szabó, Imre Csintalan Sr., Tivadar Szabó Sr., Péter Pákozdi, and Marek Szabó were responsible for the training of the young players. Thanks to their enthusiasm and skill, the young players achieved great results. ; The football team would not be so successful if it were not for its active supporters and sponsors. The largest financial support is provided by the Municipality of Hetény and private entrepreneur Gábor Danis. Thanks to this, not only water, electricity, and travel are financially covered, but the building could also be renovated. The team got a nice dressing room, and the field was fenced off.
