Studio group photo of the Feszty family
Other - other
The photograph shows the 5 sons of Szilveszter Feszty, who changed his name from Rehrenbeck to Feszty and was ennobled in 1888. Perhaps the creation of the picture can also be linked to this latter event. On the left is the most famous member of the family, the painter Árpád Feszty, whose panorama entitled The Arrival of the Hungarians is the largest Hungarian painting of all time. Next to him is his brother Gyula, who, as a renowned architect, designed Árpád's villa on Bajza Street in Budapest and the original building of the panorama. Next to him is his even more famous architect brother, Adolf, based on whose plans the former Haris Bazaar and more than a dozen palaces on Andrássy Street were built. Next to him is his younger brother Lajos, who was a lawyer in Komárom and then the governor of the estates of the Esterházy counts in Tata, and Béla, who held the positions of sub-notary of Komárom county and chief civil servant of Udvardy district.
