To the most beautiful time of my life

1. In the best time of my life ; Death has thrown me into the coffin. ; My young life did not spare me, ; He shot his poisonous arrow into my heart. ; ; 2. In the pink dawn of my life, ; I enjoyed every day of it. ; But, if perhaps I have sometimes gone astray, ; Forgive me, my sweet God. ; ; 3. My good parents, my loving brothers, ; My friends and my loving relatives, ; Come closer to my coffin, ; Soon I must go to my grave. ; ; 4. The heavenly couch is ready, ; His grave is still dug in the cemetery. ; His youth has fallen into the dust with him, ; At the sound of his trumpet. ; ; 5. There is a wedding with mourning pomp, ; With a bridegroom's bouquet. ; The wedding is a bridegroom's, but sad, ; The heavenly bride awaits him. ; ; 6. The funeral bells are the accompanying music, ; The mother's wail is a farewell. ; Sobbing, she falls on the coffin, ; In which her beloved fetus rests. ; ; 7. On each corner of the veil ; A teardrop is written, ; That we will see each other again someday, ; When the happy resurrection comes. ; ; 8. I have always loved my God, ; Now I give him back my life, ; My youth goes to the grave with me, ; There my eternal happiness lies. ; ; 9. My friends, who have come, ; Never forget me. ; So that we may attend the heavenly wedding ; In the beautiful kingdom of heaven. ; So I boldly go to meet Jesus,   - to the melody of the 3rd line ; His dead cross has filled my heart.  - to the melody of the 4th line
