The house of Lajos Zsélyi Nagy's parents
Building, structure
“The family house (no. 220) still stands in the village of Zsély, where the poet’s parents lived for a long time. His mother’s beloved child often came home here. He worked and created here from time to time, and met his friends, relatives and acquaintances here. He spent his last years and sick days here. The house was largely built by his father himself, who transformed the plot into a pleasant and atmospheric place. Unfortunately, due to an unfortunate will, the planned memorial site and creative house were not built. The Zsélyi-porta has become lonely for the time being: only its iron fence, the still-fruiting grape arbor and the old pear tree standing near the gate guard it.”
