Born in Putnok (Gömör County) on 9 Jan. 1808, son of Lajos Záborszky and Júlia Sziklay (Schmidt). Hungarian, Evangelical. Graduated from high school. 1827 - volunteer, 1831 - ensign, then lieutenant, 1842 - first lieutenant in the 60th Wasa Infantry Regiment. Commander of the Rožňava recruiting branch of his regiment. 1843 - married Zsuzsanna Székely from Doba (died Levoca, 1888), father of two children. ; 16 Aug. 1848 - captain in the 7th Home Guard Battalion, on the Drava guard line. In September he participated in the battles against Jellačić. In October he was transferred to the 15th Battalion organized in Bratislava. In November, he was sent to the defense of northwestern Hungary with three companies of his formation - of which he was the commander. In mid-January 1849, he joined the Upper Danubian Corps. From March, he served with his company in Lajos Beniczky's, and from June in Ármin Görgei's Upper Hungarian detachment, again in the Highlands. July 23 (1) - Major, commander of his battalion ("second 15th battalion"), which was supplemented by the "Beniczky company" to six companies, in the VII Corps. (On July 27, the Ministry of War gave his battalion the serial number 145, but this was no longer used.) He laid down his arms at Világos. He was sentenced to death by bullet in Arad (February 25, 1850) and to ten years of imprisonment (March 14). June 16, 1852. receives a pardon. 1867. and 1890. member of the Szepes County War Association. 1869-1886. Chief Treasurer of Szepes County. ; died in Poprad on May 23, 1898. Buried in Levoča in the II. sector of the cemetery.
