Vermes Castle
Postcard
One of the most impressive buildings in our city. It was the residence of Chief Justice Ferenc Vermes, then German and Russian officers lived in it, but it was also a pioneer home. From 1988 to 2002, it housed the branch of the Slovak National Gallery. In 2005, the Municipality of Dunaszerdahely purchased it, and after the renovations, the Contemporary Hungarian Gallery moved to one of the most patinated buildings in the city. ; The postcard shown here was sent to the city of Szentgyörgy in 1916 to Lady Lenke Széher.
