Lajos Vecsey's memorial plaque
Statue, monument, memorial plaque
Lajos Vecsey was the director of the village's cultural life between the two world wars, as well as an assistant notary and a village judge. In 1945, he was brutally beaten to death by the village commissar. In the center of the village, on the wall of the restaurant (formerly the Patika restaurant), a memorial plaque has been commemorating his memory since 1995, and one of the Csemadok's basic organizations (the Csemadok Vecsey Lajos basic organization) also bears his name. After 2007, it was moved from the south side of the building to the west.
