Hungarian Dance House of Ung-Viedek
Cultural heritage
The Kaposkelecsényi Bercsényi Miklós Csemadok Foundation held the 1st Hungarian Dance House in the Ung-vidéki region at the end of 2012, the occasion of which was the dance house movement that had just started forty years ago. The organizers launched the dance house event with the intention of creating a tradition and filling a gap, since there had been hardly any such gathering in the region since the cessation and transformation of traditional folk entertainments. ; The event has been held every year since then, with continuously growing interest. In addition to entertainment and community building, participants can learn various folk dance elements with the help of experienced folk dancers at the Ung-vidéki Hungarian Dance House, while Hungarian folk music is played in a quality performance. The Parapács band, well known for its hit song "Fölszállott a páva", the Csipkés Ensemble from Transcarpathia, and the Csurbeláj folk ensemble, consisting of musicians from the Ung region and Bodrogköz, have also taken the lead.
