Cemeteries, tombstones, grave sites
Gyula Udvardy (1870 – 1922) ; Gyula Udvardy, 16th pastor of Madar (1903 – 1922) for 19 years. The parish presbytery chose Gyula Udvardy to fill the vacant pastorate. He had a huge task. The Madar church had not yet been able to fully eliminate the consequences of the devastating fire of 1886, when the village burned down again in 1904 (church, parish, school, teachers' quarters). He had to organize the complete renovation. His time in the village was overshadowed by two historical events of great importance: World War I (1914 -1918) and the Treaty of Trianon (1920), as a result of which the village was no longer part of Hungary, and the parish was no longer part of the Transdanubian church district. Gyula Udvardy had the marble table made for the church and, at his wife's suggestion, the baptismal chalice made of red marble. ; ; https://youtu.be/eITpNoN7Wfo ; ;  ,
