On the evening of June 4, 2020, the large number of locals gathered were greeted by local government representative István Lentulay, who is responsible not only for the entire commemoration, but also for the realization of the monument. ; The crowd gathered in front of the cultural center marched to the cemetery, where the headstone, made from public donations, was unveiled at the end of the evening. ; The memorial column, carved from oak wood and decorated with folk art motifs, is the work of the Transylvanian woodcarver József Demeter. Its message is clearly readable for every Hungarian person. Roots, trunk, branches, foliage, flowers: the Hungarian nation has not only a past, but also a future that will flourish.
