Lajos Tóth is the first democratically elected mayor of the village after the change of regime. In 1994, he had a memorial plaque erected in the Reformed church to the heroic dead and victims of World War II. On the occasion of the church consecration, he received a certificate of recognition from the Reformed bishop Dr. Jenő Mikó. He is credited with clearing the dust and paving the inner Sori road.
