He was born in Komárom on January 12, 1879, to farmer parents Albert Tóth and Lídia Dózsa. He started his schooling in Komárom, continued and finished in Pápa. He took his high school diploma in Pápa in June 1899. He also took his ministerial qualification exams here: in September 1903 and September 1904. On March 12, 1903 - as a 4th year theologian - the church authorities assigned him to Komárom as an assistant pastor, and he worked in this capacity for five years, until March 15, 1908. On March 16, 1908, he took up the regular pastor's position in Nagykeszi. ; His wife is Amália Gáspár. Of his five children, Gáspár (born December 4, 1911, cantor teacher, also a teacher at the Garamszentgyörgy Reformed elementary school), rests in the grave.
