Tóth-Híves-Cross
Sacral small monument
In the middle of the village, next to the community center, on the right side of the road leading to the church, you can see the crucifix from the beginning of the last century, the Tóth-Híves-Cross, which is also referred to here as the Klacsánszky-Cross or the Estyi-Cross. The INRI-inscription, iron-bodied stone cross (sandstone?) stands on a single-step concrete base. The rectangular column is inscribed with a dedication, the column is ornate, and there are two more steps on it with a moderately decorated cross at the end of the stem. The text of the dedication reads: “For the glory of God, IMRE TÓTH, HÍVES ROZÁLIA and her family, 1914”. The corpus is white-painted cast iron, the loincloth is blue. Christ looks up towards the sky. His hands are nailed vertically to the cross, his legs and feet are next to each other.
