Tósnyárasd Catholic Church
Building, structure
On November 13, 1781, Fülöp Batthyány and his wife Barbara Perényi signed the deed of donation, based on which the construction of the church in Tósnyárasd began, which lasted until 1848. The then parish priest of Tósnyáras, Father Vagner, completed it after replacing the roof beams, repairing the tower, and painting the church. The church was consecrated on August 20, 1849, which was performed by Zsigmond Thuróczy and András Kubriczky, the parish priest of Taksony. At that time, the church's contemporary altarpiece was replaced. On the new altarpiece, Saint Stephen offers the Hungarian crown to the Virgin Mary. The patron saint of the church has been Saint Stephen since 1849.
