Cemetery cross

Sacral small monument

The central cross of the Gurgyal cemetery, or the Pauer Cross, is a work of grayish sandstone standing on a two-stepped base. The head of the column widens upwards, and on it is another step, on which is the cross with an iron body and a decorated stem end with the inscription INRI. Christ's hands are spread out on the cross, his head tilted to the right, his legs and feet next to each other, his body is covered with a white loincloth. On the right side of the column is a grayish-white marble tablet in memory of "our loved ones who disappeared in the two world wars."
