Country house in Lévárton
Country house, craft house
The new facility was created by the municipality in the former local culture house, which was previously a residential building. In one of the three rooms of the country house, the tools and products of hemp processing are exhibited, in the former atrium, kitchen utensils, and in the third room, a room interior has been arranged. The exhibition objects – which the municipality only requested on loan – remain the property of the donors, the municipality only wants to achieve that the locals and visitors can get acquainted with the individual objects of use and furnishings. The construction was covered by financial support provided by the Environmental Protection Agency, and the work was carried out by local residents involved in the incentive program. The initiative, which was also supported by the Túroc menti Microregion, is also commendable because in this region with a rich historical, ethnographic and cultural tradition – apart from the state museums – only ethnographic collections can be viewed in Szalóc, Gömörhorka and Medveshidegkút.
