It was founded in 1971. It carries out cultural, public education and other traditional preservation activities. The country house is a farmhouse located in the center of Alistál, at number 70. The year engraved in the master beam testifies that it was built in 1848, and its original owner was Gyula Németh, a resident of Alistál. The village bought it in 1973 and opened it as a museum on June 20, 1975. It is listed as a monument in the register of the Slovak Monument Protection Fund.
