Actors' Museum
Cultural heritage
On October 29, 2021, the Actors' Museum was opened in Petőfi Park opposite the Water Tower by actress Lőrincz Tarics, a Permanent Member of the Jókai Theatre in Komárno, and teacher Csilla Szabó, the head of Event n.o. The outdoor museum commemorates the first generation of artists of the MATESZ, now the Jókai Theatre, in Komárno. The first generation of actors arrived at the Hungarian Regional Theatre between 1952-1960 and remained members of the theatre until their retirement. The outdoor Actors' Museum, named after Margit Tarics, was created in the form of a park promenade. In an orderly row, waterproof photographs on wooden pillars at eye level commemorate the first generation of acting. The design was implemented by master woodcarver Norbert Gerendás and photographer József Stefankovics.
In the evening, each photo receives individual lighting, which makes the memorial site atmospheric and mysterious.
