He was a member of the generation of poets that emerged in the early 1960s. His first poem was published in 1961, at the age of eighteen, in Új Szó. In the following years, he published in almost all Hungarian-language newspapers in Slovakia: Csallóköz, Szabad Földműves, Tábortűz, Kis Építő, but also in Irodalmi Szemle. ; He was born on January 16, 1943, as one of ten children in Ekecs. He graduated from the pedagogical secondary school in Rozsnyó and the pedagogical college in Nitra, where he obtained a teaching certificate. He taught in Nagylég, and then was a school inspector in the Education Department of the Dunaszerdahely District National Committee. ; In addition to his pedagogical work, he was also active in shaping the public education of Lég and Csallóköz. He was one of the torchbearers of the literary stage movement. ; Ferenc Szitási published his solo volume in 1975. His volume, published under the title Hullámverésben, was received with mixed reviews by contemporary critics.
