Roman Catholic church dedicated to the Holy Trinity

Building, structure

The first data on the Hungarian village church of Árpád-era origin date back to the 14th century. ; The church with an east-facing axis, a single nave, a gable roof, today covered with tiles, was built in the Gothic style in the 14th century. The sanctuary, which is closed on three sides of the octagon, is reinforced by buttresses. In front of its western facade stands the modern tower, covered with double pyramidal spires, which is the same age as the nave, and on the ground floor of which a beautiful Gothic stone-framed door serves as the main entrance to the church. ; A large, straight-ended side chapel was attached to the nave on its southern side in 1500, the length of which reaches half of the main nave. A beautiful Gothic door frame with eyebrow arches has survived on the western wall of the late Gothic extension, which was reinforced with buttresses - i.e. originally vaulted. Unfortunately, not a single original Gothic window frame has survived in the chapel, the church, or its tower. Instead of these - in place of the original windows, we find semicircular, late Baroque windows created as a result of later repairs and reconstruction. ; The building was damaged by fire in 1910, and its current appearance was formed as a result of subsequent repairs. ; On the western wall of the tower we find a marble plaque commemorating the village's former beloved dean and parish priest, János Kabla.
