Holy Trinity statue

The most beautiful public statue in the village is the Holy Trinity statue, which stands in the southern part of the village, at the entrance to the former market square. The square, surrounded by trees, is still one of the most beautiful parts of the village. ; The statue is made up of three units. A recessed marble plaque with the following inscription was placed on the lower part of the pedestal: ; Renovated by the village / self-governing body in 2000 ; Above it, on the upper part of the pedestal, a marble plaque placed in a stylized stucco frame contains a text from the time the statue was erected: ; In memory of the jubilee holy year / Elevated by the Mezőváros farmers' association / 1900 ; A column stands on the baroque curved structure of the upper part of the pedestal, with Saint Paul to the right and Saint Peter to the left. In front of the column, sitting on a throne, is the most aesthetically designed triple figure of the entire monument: in the center is the Infant Jesus, on the left is his grandmother, Saint Anne, and on the right is his mother, the Virgin Mary. Jesus and Mary have gilded crowns on their heads. The two outer figures are connected by a gilded pearl chain. The upper part of the column, decorated with leaves and spirals, has the generally known design of the Holy Trinity, in a very aesthetically beautiful design. On the right is the Father with a scepter, on the left is the Son with a cross, and between them is the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove in front of a gilded sun disk. ; The Holy Trinity statue was erected in 1900 and has been renovated several times: in 2000, and most recently in 2012 with the cooperation of the Mayor's Office and the St. James Association, when a decorative wall was built around the statue and it was also illuminated.
