Holy Trinity statue
Sacral small monument
The main square of Ipolynyék is dominated by the beautiful group of statues, which are called the Holy Trinity here. In fact, the beautiful work, placed on a high column on a three-step pedestal surrounded by a wrought-iron fence, depicts the coronation of Mary. The Virgin Mary sits with her hands clasped in prayer between God the Father and Jesus Christ, who are holding the crown above her, above which a dove representing the Holy Spirit can be seen, as rays of light emanate from it. God the Father holds a scepter in his left hand, and Christ holds a cross in his. According to a local anecdote, the statue broke during transport, and instead of the original Holy Trinity work, the work still visible today with Mary, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit was placed in its place. ; It was erected to the glory of God by István Pataki and his wife Mária Gyúrász in 1903.
