Statue of Saint Wendel

Sacral small monument

On the southern edge of the village stands the neoclassical statue of St. Vendel from the 1960s. It is the work of the sculptor Antal Norman Brandl, originally from the Czech Republic, who worked in Nagyszombat and later in Bratislava. It was erected by Teréz Koszorús, née Ádámné Bénes, in 1899.

For the greater glory of God, it was prepared in honor of the holy abbot Vendel, by the zeal of the late Mrs. Ádámné Bénes, née Teréz Koszorús, in the year of the Lord 1899.
