Roman Catholic church dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross
Building, structure
The church was first mentioned in 1396 and was demolished in the 18th century. The Roman Catholic church dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was built in 1759 in the late Baroque style by Count Károly Eszterházy, Bishop of Eger, on the site of the previous church. It was designed by Jakab Fellner. In 1763, a sacristy was added. Its wall paintings were painted by Ödön Massányi in 1960. Its high altar dates from the 19th century. Of its furnishings, the monstrance made in 1729, which was donated to the church by Mihály Buday and his wife Judit Kása, deserves attention.
