Székelykapu in Lukanény

The settlement has friendly relations with the Transylvanian town of Csomafalva. In 2010, the local woodcarvers presented the people of Lukanénye with a wonderful Székely gate. The gate stands in the castle garden, forming an entrance to the school housed in the castle. The large gate, with a covered shingle roof, has two wings, decorated with geometric and heart shapes, floral patterns, moon and sun images, and the inscription: “Lukanénye – 2010 – Csomafalva”. There is also a decorated gate, above which is written: “Welcome”.
