Szapi Reformed Church
Building, structure
The Reformed Church of Szap was built in 1885. This year can be read above the entrance. This is the second church of the Reformed Church of Szap, the first was completed on September 8, 1789 in the classicist style and completely burned down in 1863. The foundation stone of the new church was laid on July 13, 1885, and it was consecrated in October 1886. The church was built according to the plans of the master builder Pál Rózsa from Komárom. At that time, the construction of a tower was already permitted, and in 1895 a 120-kilo bell was made in it with a joint donation from the Catholics. Its furnishings are largely from the 20th century, but a chalice from 1820 can also be found in the church. The church was renovated in 1993.
