Gyula Szabó Memorial House and Memorial Plaque in Losonc

Gyula Szabó (1907 Budapest – 1972, Prague). The painter, graphic artist and poet from the Upper Hungary who left behind a significant oeuvre lived and created in Losonc. In addition to his major exhibitions in Bratislava and Budapest, his works have been admired by interested parties in many places. Since his death, his widow Sz. Haltenberger Kinga has been taking care of his oeuvre. In 2008, Gyula Szabó’s former apartment and studio were made accessible to the public as a memorial house.
