Frigyes Sváby of Svabóczi and Tótfalvi (Tótfalu, Szepes county), 4 August 1834 – 21 April 1904, Levoča) was a historian, county archivist and keeper of the joint archives of the Csáky family. ; He completed his schooling in Levoča, Rožňava and Pest, then went to the University of Vienna, where he trained as a doctor, but in 1859 he had to switch to a more peaceful career due to illness. On 1 May 1867, the people of Szepes county elected him archivist, after which he spent the rest of his years in Levoča, where he also died. ; He wrote articles of political, natural science and local interest for the Viennese Hungarian Press (1857-58), the Viennese Neueste Nachrichten (1861), the Pesti Napló (1860s and 70s), published archival data in Századok (1870, 1873, 1874, 1891. The future of county archives), in the Historical Archive (1878, 1880, 1882), and in the Yearbook of the Szépes County Historical Association (1889).
