Pál Still was the parish priest of the Catholic faithful of Levoča for 26 years. In the chapter discussing the Church of St. James in his thesis entitled A Brief Description of the Art History of the City of Levoča, Dr. Kálmán Demkó refers to a writing by Pál Still as follows: “The manuscript of the late Pál Still, the provost-parish priest of Levoča, entitled “Chronikon seu história parochiae L. ac R. Civitatis Leutschoviensis”, which extends to 239 folio pages up to 1861, is of great value.”
