Kálmán Sötér (1834, Csúz, Érsekújvár district – 1915 Nyitrakoros, Tapolcsány district), his original family name was Schriff. His father served as a farm officer on the estates of the Esztergom chapter. He completed his high school and seminary studies in Esztergom and finished them in Nagyszombat. From 1855 he worked as an economic clerk for Archbishop János Szcitovszky. He retired in 1872 and settled in the village of Inám. He was engaged in research on beekeeping. In 1874 he developed a modern apiary built of bricks. In 1880 he began writing his excellent book entitled The Bee and Its World, which was published in two volumes. This voluminous work is perhaps the most versatile and thorough overview of bees and beekeeping to date. The first volume was published in 1895, the second in 1908. In 1912, Sötér retired to Nyitrakoros, the estate of Baron Förster, and died here. ; A plaque commemorating Kálmán Sötér is attached to the wall of the village office – it was unveiled on September 1, 2000, during the 1st Honey Festival.
