Sósár bathing place
Building, structure
"In the area surrounded by deciduous and coniferous mixed forests, there were originally two healing mineral water springs. The first well, or otherwise known as the salty well - this was used more in the spas, and the back well, or otherwise known as the sour water - this was known to the residents as flavored carbonated mineral water. Today, several springs are bubbling in the area, because mineral water also broke out at the site of geological drillings, but the spa has disappeared along with its buildings and its old reputation. Sometime in the second half of the last century, the spa became the property of the Nagykürtös coal mines and then the bus transport company, and at the same time, it became the thirtieth of the dogs. Apart from the springs, there is no longer a single building. The water contains carbon dioxide, alkaline salts and other elements. According to the analyses and today's standards, it does not belong to the category of healing waters, but in the past many people visited the spa, suffering from musculoskeletal diseases and conditions after accidents. for the purpose of healing. Sósár was no less important as a place of entertainment and as a kind of regional cultural center. The pleasant grove environment provided the opportunity for this with a stage, dance floor, bowling alley, and spa, along with dining and accommodation options. Visitors came here mainly from the Kékkő and Balassagyarmat areas outside the narrower region, but the spa was also known in Losonc and Ipolyság.”
