Cemeteries, tombstones, graves
Entering the cemetery, on the left we find the grave protected by a wrought-iron fence, in which the broad-minded priest rests, who was one of the most radical representatives of the local intelligentsia in the period before the events of 1848. He supported Széchenyi's economic aspirations with great determination. After the adoption of the revolutionary laws, seizing the opportunity, he began to engage in politics. On June 19, 1848, he was elected as a member of parliament for Galánta. However, he soon returned home from the Pest House of Representatives to organize the national guard. He only returned to Pest after the Hurbanists left the northern areas of Nyitra County at the end of September. He died in Pest on March 20, 1882, and was buried in Galánta on March 23. ; Related event: wreath-laying ceremony on the occasion of March 15.
