Our Lady of the Scythian Roman Catholic Church
Building, structure
The Baroque church was originally built as a larger chapel in 1718. In 1778, it was expanded with a south nave and a stone tower. The side nave was built in 1923. There are two bells in its tower, the larger one was consecrated in 1922 to the glory of God, and the smaller one - decorated with a relief of Mary - in 1925. The now closed tomb under the church was built by János Burian in 1718. Three people were buried in its tomb, including the captain György Ritter of Vezekényi, who died in 1732. The classicist high altar is decorated with a painting of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, and in the side nave there is a painting depicting the Holy Family. The classicist organ is from the 18th century and was renovated in 2011. ; In addition to the name "Visit of the Virgin Mary to Elizabeth", the name "Roman Catholic Church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sarlós" is also used in the settlement.
