Our Lady of the Scythian Roman Catholic Church

The church was built between 1991 and 1996 to replace the previous church that was destroyed in World War II. The last service was held on December 8, 1944. ; The new church was consecrated in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sarlós on July 16, 1996, and in 2010, a stone statue of the Virgin Mary was placed on a cast pillar in front of the church. Within the walls, another image of the Virgin Mary awaits the faithful - it was brought by the people of Bodóló from their pilgrimage site, Fatima, in 2002. The plaque was made and offered by József Pekár and his son, József Pekár Jr. The church was built from collections, with significant foreign support, and with the contribution of the city of Szepsi. ; The church was built according to the plans of the architect Michal Baník from Košice. István Kádasi, a canon from Bodóló and living in Budapest, played a major role in the organizational work and other assistance.
