Benő Sándor was born on February 20, 1867 in Rété (Bratislava), his father was Sándor Lőrinc, a public landowner, and his mother was Lujza Prikkel. He completed his studies in Rété, Bratislava, and then in Pápa. ; Between 1889-1890 he served in Garamlök, between July and October 1890 in Hontfüzesgyarmat as a deputy pastor, until 1892 again in Garamlök, and from 1892 in Nagysalló as a chaplain-teacher. He was ordained as a pastor at the church district assembly held in Pápa in 1893. He was elected by the Bajka congregation in 1893, and served as a regular pastor in Hontfüzesgyarmat from 1897 to 1906, again in Bajka from 1906 to 1911, and then in Negyed from 1911 to 1940. His wife was Lenke Szente. ; He died on July 22, 1940 at the age of 73.
