Roman Catholic Church

The main facade of the yellow, neo-Romanesque church is dominated by the tower, with elongated glass windows. The inscription on the tower shows the years of construction and renovation. The church was built in the 18th century in the Baroque style, then rebuilt in the current style at the beginning of the 20th century. It was renovated in the early 1960s and most recently in 2000. ; The church's altarpiece from the 18th century depicts the birth of Mary. In the rare composition, we can see Joachim, with Saint Anne next to him, giving birth to their child, Mary. The family is surrounded by a group of women holding copper jars in their hands. They may be in the area of the Bethesda Bath, where, according to some assumptions, Anna gave birth to her child. Several works in the church show the veneration of Mary. On the eastern wall of the sanctuary we can see the image of the Immaculate Conception, while on the left side of the altarpiece we can see the image of Our Lady of Lourdes, while on the left side of the altarpiece we can see the image of Our Lady of Lourdes. One side altar was erected in honor of the Virgin of Lourdes, the other in honor of the Heart of Jesus. The ceiling frescoes depict the Virgin taken up into Heaven, the coming of the Holy Spirit, the four evangelists and the risen Christ. Above the triumphal arch is a fresco of Jesus with outstretched arms in a red cloak, with a bleeding heart and a crown on his head. The statues in the nave depict the Pietà, Saint Teresa, Saint Joseph, Saint Anthony and the risen Christ. Also worth mentioning are the old processional cross and the bell tower next to the sacristy. ; In the right-hand hall under the tower is the choir aisle, and in the left-hand hall we find the burial place of the Baron Majthényi family.
