After the establishment of the Csemadok organization, the amateur theater movement developed primarily in Dunaszerdahely, led by directors such as Vilmos Steiner, Sándor Riedl, György Kubik, Tibor Brunner, János Molnár, and Erzsébet Sándor Cséfalvayné. Of the plays presented in the first ten years, Gergely Csiky's Grandmother had 33 performances.
